VMware’s New Academic Site: govirtual.org

Virtualization is obviously going to be part of the IT industry for the forseable future.  VMware has always had ties to academia as a pioneer in the field, but they recently have taken it a step further by launching govirtual.org.  This new website was created specifically for virtualization researchers and academics.

govirtual.org

From VMware’s Academic Programs Team:

“Govirtual.org is a non-commercial, platform-agnostic community designed to promote virtualization in academia.  Registered users are able to upload and download content (papers and publications, courseware, useful code and tools), interact via discussion boards and blogs with colleagues in the field, and find upcoming conference information all in one place.”

I have found the site to be a great resource.  You can even download an entire curriculum for teaching virtualization.  I look forward to seeing the site evolve into the future and contributing to its community.
