VMware VI Toolkit

As you probabaly know, VMware hosted a contest a while back that challenged admins to use the new PowerShell Toolkit to create the most valuable tool.  The winner of the contest was Hugo Peeters.  I wanted to draw attention to this because his web site is a great resource for PowerShell scripting.  Check it out at:

http://www.peetersonline.nl/

You should also look for Hugo on the VMware forums where he is a valuable contributor.

In other Toolkit news, you will soon be able to issue PowerShell commands and scripts directly to your guest using commandlets in the VI Toolkit.  I saw a demo of this today in which an admin would be able to issue a command such as ‘ipconfig’ directly to the PowerShell on the guest OS running inside ESX.  This raises some questions in my mind, such as security context?  I will have more information posted here once I get it.
