VMware, Inc. has announced the first Beta release of its next generation of Mac virtualization. That, of course is Fusion 2.o. So what new features have made their way into the first Beta?
- True Support for Multiple Displays
- Virtual Printing to your Mac printer
- New High Resolution icons (we’ve all been waiting for this one!)
- Improved Virtual Machine Library (autostart, screenshots of active states, easily find VM files, etc.)
- New Settings Editor
- Easier to Configure Shared Folders
- Built-in VMware Importer (yes, you can convert PC VM’s, and import Boot Camp partitions!)
- Improved USB support
- Networking Improvements
- Unity Improvements (start machines directly in Unity mode, etc.)
- Full Screen Improvements
In addition to these cool new features, there is also a fairly extensive list of bug fixes. Check out the official release notes here.
If this sounds as exciting to you as it does to me, check out the Fusion 2.0 Beta Portal at: http://communities.vmware.com/community/beta/fusion and download your copy today!

This release sounds good, but for me it is not working so well. But… it is a beta release, so that is certainly to be expected.
I also noticed that Mokafive is not compatible with it.
