We mentioned moka5 a while back when it was still in beta. It has come a long way since then.
Mokafive is centralized program that takes virtual appliances to the next level. It is very easy to setup, and the main advantage of using it is that the virtual appliances you download will remain up to date. Sure, you can get virtual appliances from www.vmware.com/appliances, but they will not stay up to date if the creator of it makes a change to it.
Another really cool feature of mokafive is that you can run the virtual appliances before they finish downloading/updating. The main advantage of this is that you can very quickly start setup an application when you’re in a hurry, or if there is an update to an application, you can just turn it off, then turn it back on and in a matter of seconds, your appliance is up and running qith the latest version, even if it isn’t completely downloaded yet.
Virtual appliances are certainly looking into the future of making using the desktop efficiently and safely. MokaFive helps to make this experience even easier. One of the virtual appliances that they made is safe web browser. This web browser makes browsing the web very safe, and because it is virtuallized, if it were to catch a virus, it will not affect the rest of the system. And MokaFive will update the virtual machine the second it happens, so just restart it and you’re good to go.
