With Server 2008 going RTM last week, Microsoft is now on the clock to deliver the long awaited Hyper-V. They have told us we should see a finished product within 180 days from the Server 2008 launch (coming early March). Stay tuned for some in-depth reviews of the Hyper-V RC leading up to the release.

VMware made it’s Virtual Desktop Manager (VDM) version 2 general release available last week. It has been a long awaited release to come out of beta. The product complements a VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) rollout. Some of the new features that VDM 2 offers are:

VMware released a new updated version (and broke ground on a new digit) of Fusion on 1/24. While it doesn’t promise to change the world, it is packed with quite a few bug fixes that will satisfy its user following. Check out the release notes here!
